Roles & Responsibilities

  • Liaising with administration and accounting teams to assist with day-to-day operation of the firm
  • Assist in the management of a portfolio of clients ensuring the highest standards of service and quality of work at all times
  • Maintenance of effective relationships with clients through quick response to client needs
  • Ad hoc support to other accounting staff
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures, accounting and related standards and relevant legal requirements in the performance of duties and in conduct at work
  • Undertake personal/professional development activities to maintain the required level of contemporary professional knowledge
  • Protects organization's reputation by keeping information confidential
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
  • Contributes to team results by welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to add value to the organization; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed
  • Promote a positive and productive team environment at all times
  • Adhere to all quality control file management systems in place within the firm, including maintaining all client working paper files to the standard and format required by the firm

Required Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in AU Tax Compliance
  • Ability to complete bookkeeping
  • Ability to prepare IAS / BAS
  • Ability to prepare individual tax returns
  • Ability to prepare annual tax compliance work and associated working papers (financial statements and income tax returns)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Accounting Degree
  • Started CPA is good, but not required
  • General accounting and taxation knowledge including accounting standards
  • Personal commitment to continuous improvement
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills

Proficient With

  • Xero (Required)
  • Xero Practice Manager (required)
  • MYOB AccountRight (Desirable, but not essential)
  • MYOB Essentials (Desirable, but not essential)
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Angeles City, Pampanga: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CMA (Preferred)
  • CPA (Preferred)
