Mecmesin are part of the PPT Group and we are based in Slinfold just outside Horsham, we are seeking a capable, versatile person to work in our Stores Team. We are looking for staff who are genuinely interested in being part of a great team and helping us deliver great products to our global customers.
Due to departmental role changes we have a new opportunity for a Stores Controller within the Test Materials Centre. The purpose of this role is to control the Test Materials stores, keeping accurate stocks, pick sales orders, book in finished goods and support the Test Materials team. Some of the Responsibilities of the role are:
- Work to priority schedules to pick goods for sales orders in a timely manner
- To ensure all deliveries are correct to the delivery notes and clearly identified with the relevant details
- To keep all materials in designated areas to be readily located
- To safely manually handle items using suitable means
- To ensure stores are tidy with aisles and walkways clear with all stock
- To investigate variances from cycle counting producing reports to record findings
- To maintain a routine of cycle counting
- To book stock in/out when necessary
- To ensure stock is accurate, generating and completing adjustment journals when necessary
- To be vigilant of your own and all colleagues safety at all times while adhering to company Health and Safety policies
Employment & Educational Background
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience of stores/warehouse control
- Have worked in manufacturing environment
- Have good knowledge and understanding of MRP systems preferably Dynamics AX2012
You will need to be good team worker and able to be flexible, overtime may be occasionally required to meet production deadlines. Ideally the candidate needs to be physically fit and able to lift and carry components and products. The successful candidate will get full training on all Mecmesin products.

Salary: £22,000.00-£22,500.00 per year
