What you will do:

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, timely completion, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of city, state, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll complying with regional and corporate policies and procedures.

Role and Activity

  • Process, calculate, and distribute multi state payroll bi-weekly for over 3,000 US employees
  • Process off-cycle payroll, manual checks, and payroll adjustments as needed
  • Import payroll data such as hours worked, from the time keeping system, approved incentives and bonuses, missing hours, etc.
  • Complete approved historical corrections in the timekeeping system for changes after payroll is signed-off to ensure time records align with the payroll records
  • Perform pre-check audit for all locations as well as corporate prior to final payroll approval
  • Compile and submit pre-check summary noting any circumstances that would cause an increase or decrease in payroll totals and audit report to HRBP and Chief HR Legal Officer for approval
  • Support regional payroll representatives
  • Review and reconcile payroll funding to the payroll summary researching any discrepancies
  • Submit Voya 401K EFT funding request to AP and provide Voya with control totals
  • Reconcile HSA funding and Optum validation/invalid error report. Refund employees with invalid accounts and work with the UKG benefits team to remove the employee contribution deduction
  • Process HSA employer contribution quarterly
  • Process wage garnishments, support orders, etc.
  • Prepare reports for various pay data history for internal and external audits, and support audit activities as required
  • Troubleshoot and reconcile accrual inquiries
  • Provides accrual balance data requests to AP
  • Performs administrative functions within the timekeeping system
  • Responds to employee inquiries regarding pay
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Pay Range

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The pay scale disclosed below has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $70,000 and $80,000 per year.
