Basic Functions
Performs duties as an aircraft Avionics Technician under the direction of the assigned Lead. Performs aircraft navigational and avionics repair maintenance on aircraft components. Performs maintenance on the electrical components associated with the aircraft using the specific aircraft. Diagnoses and repairs aircraft avionics malfunctions. Uses common measuring tools. Performs aircraft avionics systems operational checks. Performs operator maintenance on tools and GSE. Prepares aircraft maintenance forms and records. Ensures operations are conducted IAW safety regulations and directives.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
A. Duties/responsibilities:
1. Ensures that aircraft avionics maintenance is planned and coordinated through production control.
B. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities under the direction and supervision of the mechanic section lead or PC supervisors.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: As directed by the first line supervisor or higher.
1. Ensures that aircraft avionics maintenance is planned and coordinated through production control.
2. Responsible for compliance with established maintenance processes and procedures.
3. Establishes daily maintenance goals, objectives and priorities.
4. Oversees the daily aircraft avionics maintenance requirements.
5. Coordinates activities and requirements with the PC Supervisor.
6. Coordinates through Production Control for daily and weekly maintenance training activities.
7. Supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART), as needed.
8. Other tasks as directed by the first line supervisor or higher.

Minimum Qualifications
A. Education Level:
1. Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.
B. Training Certifications:
1. Required: Qualified by the appropriate US military aircraft avionics maintenance course or civilian equivalent.
C. Experience:
1. Required: Four (4) years’ experience as an aircraft avionics technician.
D. Specific knowledge, skills, ability:
1. Must be able to communicate effectively with host nation personnel and company management.
1. Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Preferred: Advanced degree or equivalent.
B. Training Certifications:
1. Required: Qualified by the appropriate US military aircraft avionics maintenance course or civilian equivalent.
2. Preferred: Graduate of US Military aircraft avionics school and FAA A&P Certificate.
C. Experience:
1. Required: Four (4) years’ experience as an aircraft avionics technician.
2. Preferred: Six (6) years’ experience as an aircraft avionics technician on UH-60M.
D. Specific knowledge, skills, ability:
1. Must be able to communicate effectively with host nation personnel and company management.
2. Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
3. Possess a valid driver’s license.
4. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
