Maxima, in partnership with Quality Garden Care, is looking for a green thumb to undertake a fulltime, 3-year traineeship within Horticulture.
This position will see you working alongside experienced supervisors, gaining industry knowledge, and studying towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Horticulture.
No two days will be the same in this opportunity! You will be exposed to both general gardening and sustainability practices to kickstart a successful horticulture career. If successful, you could be eligible for Government incentives of up to $5,000 in the first 2-years.

Duties Include:
- Garden and grounds maintenance
- Mulch, prune, pot, and water plants
- Use of garden tools and machinery
- Brush cutting and mowing
- Pest and weed control
- Install irrigation pipes and watering systems
Skills and Knowledge:
- Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
- Be committed, reliable and hardworking
- Manage and prioritise time when working under pressure
- Works effectively in a team and unsupervised
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Has a can-do attitude, displaying initiative on the job
Role Requirements:
- Provisional or full driver’s licence with own vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar trade (advantageous)
