The University of Brighton supports the ongoing success of student-athletes and is looking for an experienced and motivated new team member to deliver strength and conditioning support across a range of programs.
Based largely at the Falmer and Eastbourne campuses - but working across all sites - you will be involved in planning and implementing sports development programming for internal and external projects within the Performance Sport pathways. This includes Sports Scholarship and Talented Sports Performers internally, whilst also assisting with external contracts such as the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) and other partners.
You will support the Performance Sport Officer, and work as part of a team, to aid the ongoing development of the Performance Sport pathways, foster new relationships and establish the Performance Sport offer within the wider community.
In order to be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience of coaching athletes in both one to one and group settings.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with sports person, coaches and staff.
- Be able to manage / organise your own time efficiently and demonstrate ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Knowledge of the Performance Sport pathways and how they are currently implemented.
- Have, or be willing to undertake a First Aid certificate and DBS check.

This role is part-time (20.0 hours per week), on a fixed-term contract for 2 academic years (20 months 2 x 10 month academic years September to June).
