Summary of the role:
Volvo Cars is investing a lot in software and in house development. With more and more in house developed digital systems and solutions going online, we need dedicated resource to manage the operation of these digital systems and solutions.
Right now, we have an exciting job opening for you in our Corporate & Commercial Digital department, located in Shanghai, reporting to head of Digital Architecture team.
What will you do?
- Manage Digital System Operation & Maintenance.
- Lead a maintenance team to manage the L3 maintenance of connected car features for certain Volvo car models in Volvo Cars App.
- Collaborate with program manager to manage the maintenance of various in house developed digital systems.
- Responsible for establishing operation and maintenance system for digital systems, developing operation and maintenance work standards, processes, and assessment systems, continuously improving operation and maintenance service capabilities, and ensuring system availability.
- Lead incident root cause analysis. Make and update incident report regularly.
- Digital System DevOps.
- Collaborate with architect to manage digital system deployment, CICD pipeline creation, configuration management, and grayscale publishing. Develop CICD pipeline standard templates for different development technologies.
- Responsible for digital system monitoring. Develop and improve system monitoring plans, early warning mechanisms and troubleshooting capability, striving to solve system problems before large-scale outbreaks occur.
- Manage the digital system deployment architecture and regularly update the digital system deployment architecture diagram.
- Define system monitoring & troubleshooting requirements, drive internal monitoring & troubleshooting system build by leveraging in house developer resources
Why do you fit the profile?
- BS is required.
- MS is preferred.
- At least 8-years working experience in software development, maintenance & operation area.
- At least past 3-years experience of digital systems maintenance & operation.
- At least 3-years software development experience. Java eco-system is preferred.
- Have experience in building up system maintenance & operation standards, systems, SLAs, KPIs, etc.
- Have experience in leading a small team with 3-5 people.
- Have hands on DevOps experience in system release & maintenance.
- Have strong incident root cause analysis capability, and is good at summarize root causes to form follow up actions and improvements.
- Have platform and architectural thinking to be able to define platform level maintenance & operation system to support multiple digital systems.
- Have connected car system maintenance & operation experience is preferre
- Good communication skills and emotional stability under whatever circumstances to handle system incident with professionalism.
- Good presentation skill to present ideas, work status, summary reports, proposals, etc.
- Fluent English speaking is required.
- Quick learning ability. Able to learn new digital technology and use in system operational work.
- Good at collaboration and communication with both internal & external colleagues.
