The Sales Engineer will be a part of the Sales department in Turkey, which is responsible for the country’s Commercial & Sales strategy. You will contribute to the success of the Viking Turkey organization through increasing the sales in the Central and Eastern part of Turkey by serving to the existing customer portfolio and developing it.
You will have strong relations with different stakeholders to win the market to improve sales in the area of your responsibility. You will work closely with your colleagues from Sales and Operations, Finance and Technical Support and make sure you achieve the highest value of quote conversions into orders.
Furthermore, you will have the following duties:
- Direct responsibility for sales and marginality for assigned accounts in the area of your responsibility (Central Anatolia, Blacksea regions)
- Business development activities in the area of your responsibility such as relations with formal and informal authorities in addition to commercial customers
- Enforce Viking Turkey’s local presence by managing and supporting the company’s mission and policies in order to build up strong and trustful relationships with customers and stakeholders (end-users, governmental authorities, building/ industrial/ fire protection lobbies, designers, consultants and all other stakeholders)
- Provide valuable local market information and input; work with the central functions to optimize sales and service to customers
- Continuously improve the sales and profitability of your area and ensure Viking is present and considered in the largest number of fire protection projects possible
- Define the strategies for local business following the guidelines, goals and targets received from your line Manager
- Create and develop specification with major end-users and influencers containing Viking products and solutions in order to secure a profitable revenue stream for the company
Ideally, you are based in Ankara.
This position requires travelling (approx. 50% of the time).
The Sales Engineer will report to the Country Manager of Viking Turkey, also based in Turkey.
Qualifications and experience:
- Engineering background (Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical/Electronic/Industrial)
- Understanding for the jargon within the contracting business
- At least 3-4 year experience in selling of Fire protection systems and/or products, or in a similar mechanical building systems/products sales
- Excellent communication skills both in written and spoken in Turkish and English
- Valid and clean driving license
- Business relation experience with mechanical contracting companies, construction companies, fire contractors and distributors, mechanical design offices and consultants in the region
